Para desenhar uma boa capa é importante conhecer as tendências mais actuais e aceites pela generalidade das pessoas. Nem sempre é fácil ter uma noção clara das mesmas, por ser um assunto tão específico, mas graças à internet, o problema pode ser minimizado, basta estar atento.
Existem actualmente inúmeros blogues que se dedicam à crítica de todo o tipo de produto e com as capas não é diferente. Neles podem encontrar publicadas com alguma regularidade as capas que os seus autores consideram mais atractivas e bem construídas. Os artigos com apreciações negativas são igualmente importantes para começarem a perceber o que devem ou não fazer com o vosso trabalho e pouparem-se uma série de dissabores.
A forma como as capas são seleccionadas para o blog depende muito dos seus autores, alguns escolhem as suas preferidas, outros as que tiveram mais sucesso e ainda há os que escolhem aquelas que de alguma forma os surpreenderam, por serem especialmente interessantes ou inesperadas. Independentemente dos critérios de selecção, o autor faz uma crítica ao aspecto geral do livro e à relação entre as ideias que a capa contém e o conteúdo do livro, o que pode ser muito útil quando chegar o momento de imaginarem a capa para o vosso livro.

Designing a good cover is a goal for any artist who undertakes the task, but, in order to do just that, you must know the latest tendencies and trends. It’s not always easy to have a clear notion of it, since it’s a very specific matter, but thanks to the Internet you can minimize this issue. You just need to pay attention.
Currently, there are many blogs dedicated to criticizing an enormous number of products and with covers, it couldn’t be any different. Therein, you may find regular posts with some covers that the authors considered more attractive or near-perfectly built. The negative appreciations are also quite important for you as they help to understand what you should and shouldn’t do with your work and spare yourself from some disappointment.
There are many different reasons for an author selecting a specific cover, with some of them choosing the ones with more success, others their favorites and there are even some authors which choose the works that somehow surprised them, being especially interesting or unexpected. Regardless of the selection criteria, the author makes a critic about the general appearance of the book and about the relationship between the ideas in the cover and the content of the book, which may be pretty useful for you, when it comes time for you to imagine your own book cover.
